Vanrhynsdorp

creepy mini-mart
creepy cycad.

dusk

some landscape on our drive home.
the kids .

full ensemble.

main street and the yellow tortoise.

all the neighbours came and when there was a break
they took to the instruments.

this is the tourism office on the main street.
it used to be where the slaves were held.
i really liked the light in this photo. Manfred is slightly silhouetted
and Elizabeth's pink trousers contrast the darkness wonderfully.

sound check.

Jacobus Cloete and Manfred Zylla

Elizabeth Cleote (Jacobus's sister)

Neighbourhood kids. They had never seen a Beetle before and thought it looked like a yellow tortoise.

  2. thanks astrid.I really appreciate your feedback.

it was a great expirence and i think its important to record such events as they are a part of our history- musically and linguistically.

It took me a while (5 years) to realise that I dont have to focus on just one thing, I went from one aspect of the arts to another and recently came to the conclusion that there is a way to bring them together and I think my future projects will be informed by that. Everything you learn comes in handy some day.
