The Microfranchise Accelerator (The MFA)

I recently shot a short video for the The Business Place Phillipi (TBP) and
The Clothing Bank (TCB). The film was for an Ashoka Changemakers competition.
The winner receives funding for the expansion of their respective projects.

TBP and TCB are working together to establish Micro Franchise Accelerator opportunities
for nessessity entreprenuers (people who start business not because of want, but out of the need to make money). They started with TCB having women sort and mend clothing donated from major retailers, who then buy the clothing at a very low cost and resell them. TBP has joined the project and
sources a wide variety of micro franchising opportunities for their clients.

A very special thanks to Brenda Goldblatt for mentoring me on this project.
Also to Tracy Chambers (TCB) and Egbert Wessels and Cecile Pompei (TBP) for letting me make this video.

Shack Attack

As a part of the FILMSA filmmaking programme which I just recently completed, we had to make a short film. Doug van der Walt's short script "Shack Attack" was chosen to be produced. It's a horror-comedy about a haunted shack. It was a co-production between Showmemobi Productions (FILMSA) and Jet Black Productions.

I worked on an HBO show called Strikeback from February to May this year. I was the 2nd Unit Script Supervisor. Here are a few pics that I came across.

Infecting the City Public Arts Festival 2012

In February this year I produced a series of shorts for the Infecting the City Public Arts Festival held here in Cape Town. It was a rather tough and long week as we had to shoot, edit and upload the videos sometimes all in the same day! But having an amazing team made it all possible! I acted as producer for Team A and these are just some of the videos we made! More to come.

How to with Lu: DIY your life with Lu Chase

I created a show called How to with Lu: DIY your life with Lu Chase. It's a webshow aimed at young women. It gives them advice and skills from an array of areas. This is the first episode. In it our hostess (who might look familiar-lol) shows you how to change a tyre.

This is the second episode. "How to dress to your ex-boyfriends' wedding". The premise is a bit outlandish, but I think the advice given is very valid.

The last one deals with making a homemade (and very edible) face mask. YUM!

We have produced more, they are in process of being edit. I will keep you posted.
